The AGM Full Metal MK16-L is one of the latest in a long line of affordable AEGs from AGM. The Full Metal SCAR styled AEG has many of the same features of other brands at a fraction of the price with a few of its own. It includes flip up front and rear sights, polymer lower receiver, one piece metal upper receiver, side folding retractable stock, sling attachment points, and an ambidextrous magazine release. However, it does have few surprises of its own. The adjustable cheek rest opens to expose the battery compartment, eliminating the need to disassemble the stock to install the battery. In addition to all these features the gun includes a short barrel for that rifle look, and comes packed with a battery, charger & magazine. This is a package that is hard to beat.
The S.C.A.R. (SOF Combat Assault Rifle) was developed for the U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM) to meet certain special operations demands that the current M4 variants cannot. The SCAR is available in both a 5.56x45mm NATO and 7.62x51mm NATO version (SCAR Light/SCAR Heavy). The SCAR began to see limited introduction to U.S. Army combat units beginning in 2009.
AGM has produced a fine replica of the MK16 Light and is an excellent choice if you are looking for a solid rifle that will operate well in both CQB and field skirmishes.
Most M4 parts, magazines and accessories will fit the MK16 .
